Tibet. 1970–80s
In the 1970s and 1980s, I photographed Tibet, its people, Buddhist culture, monasteries and vast landscapes. These black-and-white documentary photographs bear witness to everyday life, spiritual traditions and a society undergoing profound change. My attention was drawn not only to the extraordinary visual character of Tibet, but to the people themselves—their dignity, resilience, faith and humanity.
