A study of the female form, photographed in 1990. Light and shadow divide the composition almost geometrically, transforming the body into line, volume, texture, and tonal contrast.
The photograph reflects my continuing exploration of the human body as both physical presence and abstract form. Stripped of setting and narrative, the figure becomes a landscape of light and shadow, where the simplicity of the composition allows the form itself to become the subject.
This is a vintage silver gelatin print, photographed and printed by me in 1990. It is one of only two prints in the edition and has been preserved in perfect condition for more than three decades.
