Nude #12
A study of the female form, photographed in 1990. Seen horizontally and at close range, the body becomes almost a landscape—a composition of curves, light, shadow, and subtle tonal transitions.
By removing the figure from any surrounding context, the photograph moves between representation and abstraction. The body remains immediately recognizable, yet the composition is concerned as much with form, rhythm, and the sculptural quality of light as with the figure itself.
This is a vintage silver gelatin print, photographed and printed by me in 1990. It is one of only two prints in the edition and has been preserved in perfect condition for more than three decades.
Paper size: 7.9 × 9.8 in. (20 × 25 cm)
Image size: 5.7 × 8.5 in. (14.5 × 21.5 cm)
